The People

Rivers are defined as much by their people as they are by topography, water, geology and history.  The Salmon River is famous for its people, ranging from legendary eccentrics such as Dugout Dick to young entrepreneurs making their own mark on the river's cultural landscape of the future.

There are so many Salmon River People to describe, illuminate and celebrate.  We used the collage above as the cover photo for our Kickstarter project "Salmon River People."  Each of the individuals above (and many more) are The New Face of The Salmon River.

Even though perhaps none of them realize it, they and many others have stepped into a new cultural and historic phase of The Salmon River's history and lore.  Most of these folks have already left their mark yet they continue to contribute in so many ways.

Our "Salmon River People" project is simply a beginning.  We can create only a small handful of five webseries about Salmon River People in year 2013.  It is our long term goal to continue making webseries videos and writing about the cavalcade of characters for as many years as we can.

We hope that Kickstarter support will allow us create a long-lasting legacy for each of these people and many more to come in the cultural that flows alongside and through the heart of The Salmon River.
